Home treatment and prevention of staph infrections?

I live in Kauai and my job as a boat crew requires me to be in the ocean every single day. I get alot of reef cuts, just minor scs and cuts on my feet but they always seem to fester into staph infections. I've had 3 in the past 4 months. I know your supposed to keep all cuts you have clean, dry, and dressed, but that's practically impossible with my job. Are their any home remedies that anyone knows of, and what would eb the best thing I could do for my cuts seeing how they are getting doused with salt water constantly?
