Big problem?

i used to talk this girl who i liked, whos out of my league, on IM and she wanted me 2 talk to her irl (about a year ago). Since than weve said hi occasionally but never anything else or a convorsation. Lately weve just made like eye contact but it sorta looks like we rnt even friends anymore. I see her alot 2. Should i be like "yeah i havent really gotten the chance to talk 2 u much"? That sorta makes it seem like im desperate or giving a reason just to talk. I get nervous 2. Should i say that or should i say something else. If something else what should i say?
