Online Song Lyrics Legality?

I'm frustrated with all the websites that show song lyrics and how they're full of spyware, malware and viruses and am thinking of starting a wiki style site dedicated to song lyrics, but am not sure if the reason it doesn't already exist or is on Wikipedia is a legal reason. Is it illegal to reprint song lyrics online?
