What will happen if i fire my attorney that is paid on contingency fee?
he is working on contingency fee of 1/3 of settlementof my personal injury case. he has not filed a lawsuit. he has sent demand letter to insurance company last week. we dont see eye to eye on some issues and im planning on firing him. i know i will have to pay his fees and expenses that he has incurred for my case. my question(s) is will he send bill to me or can he contact insurance company and have them pay him first before i get settlement? also, can he contact the insurance company and have them pay his 1/3 before i get my settlement? like i said, no lawsuit has been filed. nor will a lawsuit be filed. this will be settled out of court.
